About the position
For our location in Schiedam, we are looking for a Facility Coordinator who ensures the optimal purchasing, implementation and execution of technical facility services.
In this role you act as the link between the organization, suppliers and service providers. You are responsible for services related to buildings, installations and infrastructure such as maintenance, inspections, replacements and improvements. You ensure that services meet operational needs, comply with legislation and standards, and align with organizational objectives on the short, medium and long term.
What do we expect of you?
You have a strong technical foundation and a passion for the built environment. You combine your technical knowledge with management skills to ensure 30,000m² of production halls, 10,000m² of offices, and 90,000m² of grounds function optimally from a technical perspective.
Your responsibilities include:
- Manage contracts and suppliers for services, including tendering, agreements and performance monitoring
- Coordinate and oversee technical service activities for buildings and installations
- Lead and support technical projects such as renovations, replacements and improvements from initiation phase to delivery
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, legislation and internal facility policies
- Advising on technical solutions and sustainability measures
- Monitor budgets, costs and service delivery, and report to Manager
- Advise the organization on technical, contractual and supplier-related matters
Wondering if you are 'equipped for impact'?
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Real estate management/ Facility Management or a related field
- Several years relevant experience within services and industrial or technical environments
- Demonstrable experience with contract management and supplier management
- Strong coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of maintenance, installations and technical compliance
- Analytical, sStructured and result‑oriented way of working
- Proactive mindset with attention to safety, quality and continuous improvement
Some practical things we need you to have
Good command of English and Dutch
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
EU passport or valid work permit for the Netherlands
